What is Stretch-Mediated Hypertrophy?

How Does It Work?

Stretch-mediated hypertrophy is a type of muscle growth that occurs when a muscle is stretched under load. This type of growth is different from traditional hypertrophy, which occurs when a muscle is lifted against resistance. Stretch-mediated hypertrophy is believed to be caused by the activation of satellite cells, which are stem cells that can differentiate into muscle cells.
