Nadal could be playing in his final match at Roland-Garros
The 13-time champion faces Casper Ruud in Sunday's final
Rafael Nadal reached the final of Roland-Garros for a record 14th time after third seed Alexander Zverev suffered a nasty ankle injury in their semi-final on Friday.
Nadal was leading 7-6 (8-6), 6-6 when Zverev twisted his ankle and had to be taken off court in a wheelchair.
The injury is a cruel blow for Zverev, who was playing in his first Grand Slam semi-final.
Nadal, who is seeking a record-extending 22nd Grand Slam title, will now face eighth seed Casper Ruud in Sunday's final.
Ruud reached his first Grand Slam final with a 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (7-2), 6-3 win over 2020 US Open champion Dominic Thiem.
