Maple Leafs Hire Derek Clancey as Assistant GM
Clancey Joins Front Office After Offseason Additions

The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced the hiring of Derek Clancey as Assistant General Manager Player Personnel, the team announced Tuesday.
Clancey joins the Maple Leafs after spending the past three seasons as the Assistant General Manager for the Chicago Blackhawks. During his time in Chicago, he was responsible for overseeing the team's player personnel decisions, including scouting and player development.
Prior to his time with the Blackhawks, Clancey spent 10 seasons with the Vancouver Canucks, where he held various roles in the team's scouting and player development departments.
Clancey's hiring is the latest addition to the Maple Leafs' front office, which has undergone significant changes this offseason. Earlier this month, the team hired Shane Doan as Senior Director of Player Development.
